Build a Niche Store Review

by admin on November 2, 2009

Many people have asked me what is a way to make money online so I have looked around for several programs that would allow you to make money, I will be providing the pros and cons of each system and attempting to demystify making money online. Granted at this point I do not believe any of these programs will get you rich but they may make you small amounts of money. When you are looking at making money on the Internet I recommend creating several streams of income and this is one way to do it. I will guarantee that these groups do not have hidden charges and all charges will be listed up front, and that the terms and disclosures are adequate and the refund policy is stated and works as it should.

Disclosure: If you click the link at the bottom of the page and decide that the offer is right for you I will be paid a small referral fee. This is an affiliate link and I want everyone to know that I will always disclose any links like this in the content of a site. I need your trust to succeed.

Build a Niche Store is a software application that will allow you to build small niche stores using content you create as well as working from the eBay affiliate network to create product links that people can buy products from. This will allow you to make money with the eBay affiliate network.  You will be making stores like this example mind you this is a customized store slightly and I will get into the details about this in some of the pros and cons I see.

With one license you can build unlimited numbers of stores in different niches and work on promoting the store so people will being to buy from your links. If you target the correct niches you will be able to bring people into your store and then drop them to eBay using your affiliate link to buy a product or products.  From looking at this the learning curve for the administration and creating your stores is short and you should be able to create stores quickly and efficiently.

You can generate money using this software in the following ways. You can get affiliate commissions for any products that are purchased on eBay if they came from your store. They cookie the user so that your affiliate ID will stay with them for 7 days so during that 7 days if anyone buys a product you will receive a commission from it. You can also generate money from any new eBay user that signs up after coming from your store, that either makes a purchase or bids on an item within 30 days.  You can also show ClickBank, Commission Junction, Linkshare, or AdSense ads and links that may earn you a little extra money.

I will go over the cons first because I want my readership to understand what is bad about the system, after the cons you will find the pro’s. I know this is backwards but I want everyone to understand before they move forward.

  • The default templates that come with Build A Niche Store are over exposed they are used in too many places and may be a turn off to anyone who visits your site.
  • You will have to keep up a hosting account (one hosting account will hold multiple stores) and buy domains for every store you want to create.
  • You will need to drive your own traffic and promote your own store to succeed. This means if you can not drive traffic to your store you will fail.
  • Good chance that the “niche” you target is already targeted so keyword research will be needed and you will have to pick the best niche.
  • While Build a Niche Store can be customized you would have to either a.) know how to do it (develop in php) or b.) pay someone else to do it.
  • It costs $64.95 to get in plus the costs of hosting and domain name purchases.
  • It relies on Affiliate Marketing which is not an easy topic to learn or master. But Build a Niche does a decent job of trying to help you.
  • You can not rely on search engines to bring you traffic you will have to use Article Marketing and other Affiliate Marketing tricks to succeed. If you only rely on search engines you will lose your money.
  • You must get an eBay Affiliate Account, and any other accounts that you want to use, Commission Junction, Linkshare, AdSense and you are responsible for getting approved for these.

  • You do not need to know how to build or keep up a site. You just pick a niche and create your content.
  • One fee for the software to build as many stores as you want so you own it for life.
  • Free upgrades for life
  • No monthly fees
  • A Support Forum for questions and comments about the system to receive help
  • Several Tutorials about Customizing and Managing your store
  • User Manuals for the Software and How to Install
  • For $34.95 they will also sell you a guide on building niche stores and sites and this will get you access to the forum as well. You can find that guide here . You can buy this first to make sure that you are understanding what you are looking for if you would like.
  • 60 day refund policy no questions.
  • You will gain instant access to the software and can have your first site up today.

I hope you got the information you where looking for in this review. Remember that there are absolutely no short cuts online. Success will need the will to learn, planning and a lot of hard work. This software is nothing more than a tool to help you it is not going to remove the requirements of hard work or business building.

Affiliate Programs November 2, 2009 at 10:20 pm

EBay Store owners also are charged lower auction fees, and have access to advance merchandising tools.

I’d heard that the eBay affiliate program was becoming difficult to deal with. Any tips on how to get approved?

I did not have any problems getting approved when I was testing some things, I just had to wait for a while.

Search eBay forum discussions on this subject. In the beginning it was quite easy to make money, but as eBay changed policy and Google began showing a distaste for BANS things changed.

That said I still believe it in their program. Perhaps a little more difficult now with those previously mentioned roadblocks. The BANS crew works really hard at helping folks learn the ropes. Customer support by BANS and support by members through the forums is top notch. This system is for long term profits not quick money.

Nice write-up on BANS by the way.

All this is true, there are methods to get past the Google issues but they will require some template work to make it look and act a little less like a BANS site I know the BANS developers are looking at this as well, with eBay recently changing the way it pays also will require higher quality traffic but all this is obtainable.

Looking to buy this program and implement several niche information websites that link out to products on ebay, etc. Are the problems with Google still relevant or has this been resoloved? Also how does the new ebay affiliate program work with this?
